I recently got back into tanking after taking most of Warlords off in favor of healing. A friend recommended your podcast, and lo and behold, how lucky me, you’ve done a tanking episode. I respect and agree with many of your positions, from the tedious nature of tanking both in Cata, and Warlords (personally I loved BC and Wrath tanking as both a warrior and paladin). However I also disagree with many of your points. It felt like the emphasis was not on tanking as a whole, but on how one class tanked. As a healer in Warlords, the one tanking class I find as a whole to be overwhelmingly likely to try to do something they shouldn’t is a DK under the impression that they have the CDs to do it, almost always result in a mostly dead if not all dead group/raid. My impression of reckless, self-reliance continued through this episode with nearly every reference being to DK tanks. I would love to hear you guys debate with leaders from all classes on tanking, not just using one class and spec as your primary example.
